Hello Members,

The first day summer has past and it is due time for the DSC club to have sail & bbq potluck.  Picnic area in JSCA is reserved for DSC club on Saturday July 9th noon to 6pm.  Bring your potluck contribution and something to grille and join the fun with good company of your fellow members.  This is an excellent opportunity to introduce yourself to other members and get sailing.

Finally Discovery has organized their ground stored fleet all together as shown above.  Lasers remain at the west end in the rack berths F17 & F18, kayaks remain at the east end and have not moved.  This is great for the club to have the majority of fleet in one location and should make it easier for new members to find our boats.  Thank you Jericho storage for making adjustments accommodate our request, thank you Bruce for helping move Pink Panther into position back in March, and thank you Malcolm for helping re-organizing to have Hobie’s on the end.

Hi Everybody
I would like re-ignite a club tradition for weekly sailing social at Jericho for members. This is a great opportunity to meet your membership, sail together, then enjoy the view from the patio with something from the grille. We can have spontaneous rigging orientations and training sessions for that boat you don’t know. Or those that don’t have enough time in the evening to sail, this could be a great scenario to coordinate picking up a rigged ready to go boat from another member! This is a weekly drop-in event Thursday evenings. Hope to see you there!
